I have set myself the task of compiling a photo diary to capture certain moments in my life. Not only is this to motivate me as a photographer to get a really great shot, but also to constantly be aware, thankful, and mindful of my surroundings. I want my days to count. I want to be able to look back and have my emotions evoked by my images. I will also be documenting where the photo was taken, what I was doing, and the type of equipment I used. Enjoy! Day 42
This image was taken in an old abandoned train station which is also rumoured to be haunted. The cavernous like tunnel was swarming with bats, luckily for us the fire mostly scared them away. Adam the extremely talented fire spinner (pictured above) has attached steel wool which when lit and spun creates that magnificent spark. This was a long exposure which when working with light in dark spaces creates some stunning results.
