I have set myself the task of compiling a photo diary to capture certain moments in my life. Not only is this to motivate me as a photographer to get a really great shot, but also to constantly be aware, thankful, and mindful of my surroundings. I want my days to count. I want to be able to look back and have my emotions evoked by my images. I will also be documenting where the photo was taken, what I was doing, and the type of equipment I used. Enjoy! Day 148
We drove past some absolutely beautiful scenery on our driving adventure. I particularly liked the prevalent patterns and colours of the landscapes. I'm not too sure exactly where this was taken, however it was somewhere in France as we were driving from Barcelona up through the French Alps.

Day 147
There is something supremely intimate and caring about this image. I like the soft tones and pose of the subjects. I also think the angles and positioning is quite interesting.

Day 146
This image was taken from the top of Park Guell in Barcelona. I found the messages on this cactus to be quite interesting. I always like to think of the people who have stood in spots before me. It's always nice to be able to read something that they have left behind.
Day 145
Whilst Barcelona is quite the modern city, the magnetism of it's old world charm cannot go ignored. This setup which I photographed outside of a (you guessed it) scissor shop highlights the eccentricity that Barcelona is well loved for.

Day 144
One of the many things I love about Europe is the fact that the animals are extremely free to roam around. I found this little guy casually drinking from a pond at one of Barcelona's main attractions. I like the angle and composition of this image. There is something sublimely calming about its simplicity.

Day 143
This is the view from inside the beautiful Cathedral of the Holy Cross Saint Eulalia. It was a phenomenal experience being inside Barcelona's gothic cathedral. I love the detail and colour in this image.

Day 142
Barcelona has some of the most incredible and down right creepy street performers I have ever seen. This gentlemen was part of a dance troop who were entertaining a large crowd. I had to fight my way to the front to snap this image.

Day 141
There is something almost three dimensional about this image. Taken at yet another Barcelona market, it is as if the fish are still alive and pleading to be saved. I like the soft tones of this image, and how the focus is in the centre of the image.

Day 140
Taken at another market in Barcelona. I love Spanish markets in the sense that they always have items displayed so intricately and delicately, and you really get a taste of Spanish culture. I think the man in this image adds a mysterious element to the photograph.

Day 139
I took this very vibrant image at one of Barcelona's many markets. I love the colour and shape presented in this image.

Day 138
I took this image in Barcelona on a rainy day overlooking the beach. It was so silent as we walked along. Even though there were many people around, I felt as if this was a place to come and ponder. These three gentlemen sparked my interest, so I snapped a few photographs whilst they remained unawares. I adore the composition in this image.
