Day 130

I find the use of dark and light space in this image quite effective. I think the stance of the subject adds a sense of voyeurism and the dark tones around the face add a kind of 3d perspective.

Day 129

I really like the simplicity of this photo and the central focal point of the subject. This image was taken at night with the only light source being the lighter held against the face.

Day 128

I took this image during a night of long exposures in a Brisbane cemetery. I used presets in Lightroom to add some contrast and tone.

Day 127

There's something mysterious about this long exposure that I feel really comforted by. I really like the soft tones and hues.

Day 126

I really like the detail in this macro shot and the contrast of the dark blue in the foreground juxtaposed to the light blue in the background. The image itself is an up close shot of my dogs brush. I was attracted to the shape and textures and fine detail.

Day 125

I have always found painting with light and the effects of out of focus lighting interesting. The above image is an out of focus macro shot of fairy lights.

Day 124

This is Mebis, the pet rat with supermodel good looks. I took this image with my macro lens. The natural lighting worked well to bring out highlights. I played around with clarity in Lightroom.

Day 123

I really like the warm tones in this image and the alignment of shape. I played around with the contrast in Lightroom.

Day 122

I found this little guy on the wall in my lounge room and couldn't help taking his photo. He was only about 3cm long so my macro lens was perfect for this shot.

Day 121

I took this long exposure in Surfers Paradise. I wanted to make it a tad surreal so played around with the healing stamp on lightroom to achieve the desired effect.

Day 120

I took this image at Ripley's believe it or not in Surfers Paradise. I'd been wanting to go there for ages and for some reason no one wanted to go with me. After going there.....I now know why! On the whole it was pretty boring. I snapped this little guy in the shrunken head exhibition.

My macro lens strikes again! This image is of a tiny diamante clad ring worked on with presets in Lightroom.

Day 118

I took this image at Robina shopping centre a few hours after the shooting. Parts were cordoned off and people were mindlessly waiting around to see what was happening. A man and a woman got shot by a gunman in one of the phone stores. The woman was an innocent bystander whilst the man was part of a bikie gang in an ongoing feud. The gunman was later caught but the bikie war rages on!
